Originhuman neuroblastoma

Description

How to mantain: The LAN-5 nueroblastoma cell line are maintained in RPMI 1640 + 10% FBS + 2mM L-Glutamine + 1mM Na pyruvate + 1% non-essential amino acids, 1% antibiotic (penicillin and streptomycin). Cells are mantained at 37°C in a humidified atmospere with 5% CO2

Freezing medium: 90% FBS + 10% DMSO; Split confluent cultures 1:3-1:4 using trypsin/EDTA; seed at 2-4x104 cells/cm2; after thawing the cells look very suffering, tend to form clusters and need about one week to attach; thaw with medium supplemented with 20% FBS; 37C, 5% CO2.

The cells grow very slowly
