Results of the qPMO project presented at the “Quality in Biology and Biotechnology” Conference

At the conference at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Pavia, researchers of the CNR’s qPMO project will present their results regarding the application of Quality principles and methodologies in biomedical research

The “Quality in Biology and Biotechnology” conference will be held at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Pavia on 18 September 2014 starting at 10.00. Dr. Annamaria Kisslinger of the IEOS at the CNR of Naples, Coordinator of the qPMO project, will present the results of the IEOS Research Unit regarding the application of the Quality methodology Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) for the analysis of and risk control in experimental processes in a research laboratory. Dr. Antonella Bongiovanni, Coordinator of the Research Unit of the IBIM at the CNR of Palermo, and Ing. Antonella Lanati (consultant, Valore Qualità) will describe the development and application of a Quality Management System in one of the first basic scientific research laboratories, the IBIM’s MarLab, which opened last December 9. Afterwards, Dr. Giovanna L. Liguori, Coordinator of the Research Unit made up of the IGB and IBBR Institutes at the CNR of Naples, and Ing. Andrea Turcato (Valore Qualità) will describe several examples of how Design of Experiment (DoE) can be applied to optimize and standardize experimental protocols in the biomedical field.
